The Knox lab is housed in the Environmental Sustainability and Health Institute (ESHI) beside the Central Quad, home to 6,500 students and 400 staff covering the areas of physical and biological sciences, computer science, food science, culinary arts, hospitality and engineering.

ESHI is a state-of-the-art facility located on a raised site, the building overlooks the landscaped campus grounds, including the tree-lined Green Way Avenue, and offers beautiful views right across Dublin City.
